The laboratory, based in Santa Croce sull'Arno, is equipped with the latest generation of instruments and is active in various fields including synthesis, analytical research, and study of the molecular structures of dyes, research into substances that are hazardous to humans and the environment, and finally the measurement and standardization of colour. Ars Tinctoria S.r.l. laboratory is accredited in accordance with UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, which implies formal recognition of the laboratory's compliance with the requirements of the system for testing activities and the technical competence of the accredited tests.

Our laboratory was founded in October 2015, after the separation from Ti.f.a.s. SPA, a consolidated textile company with over 40 years of experience in the market. This distinction allowed us to maintain the extensive experience gained throughout years of close collaboration with textile production, combining this experience with the latest instruments, techniques and human resources to establish a new and dynamic reality able to offer to its customers skills, professionalism as well as timely and punctual answers. Elle.A.Ci.Ti SRL wants to be considered a partner to its customers, who receive technical assistance and consultation in addition to chemical, physical and ecological analyses on textile supports, as well as the colorants and auxiliaries mainly used in this sector. Elle.A.Ci.Ti SRL laboratory has both the appropriate equipment and skills needed to perform tests to evaluate the ecotoxicological and performance requirements of raw and intermediate materials, as well as finished products in the textile industry. In particular, the analyses carried out by the Laboratory are divided into four areas: dye and colour fastness tests

physical and technological analyses

chemical and chemical-physical analyses on textile products, colorants and auxiliaries

sampling: dye tests (lab-dip, small batch dip)

Elle.A.Ci.Ti. SRL firmly believes that the adoption of a management system for the purpose of ensuring a quality in compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 is an effective instrument for the evaluation and to monitor the technical competency it has thus far achieved in addition to maintain the services provided.

The accreditation guarantees the laboratory conforms to the requirements of the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard and the prescriptive requirements established by Accredia. The Test Reports which carry the Accredia mark are also recognised outside of Italy where mutual recognition agreements between Accredia and the corresponding national accreditation bodies are in place.
The accreditation demonstrates the impartiality and technical competence of the laboratory in the performance of the tests subject to the accreditation and the implementation of a quality management system in compliance with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 systems. The test reports released with the Accredia trademark are related to the accredited tests and they can’t imply the approval and/or the certification of the tested sample/product itself. Opinion and interpretation, if different from requirement and/or specification compliance declarations, aren’t Accredia accreditation subjects. Elle.A.Ci.Ti. SRL also offers consultancy services for customer training and provides information about the topics of greatest current interest in the chemical-textile and ecological field. From 2019 Elle.A.Ci.Ti. SRL became officially a certified ZDHC Level 1 laboratory: we participate actively to their Roadmap to Zero programme helping those fashion companies that decided to together commit to minimise the use of chemicals in the entire supply chain with the purpose of safeguarding workers, customers and the environment.
