We are designated as official ZDHC ATP training provider for both classroom and online training and education on chemical management and wastewater topics, provided in English or local languages in Asia and Europe.

KAKEN TEST CENTER (headquarters: Tokyo, Japan) is the largest textile testing laboratory of Japan and was established in 1948 by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. At the time of its establishment, Kaken was engaged in inspection of synthetic fibers for export and import, but has since expanded its business to include textile and apparel testing services. We are accredited by Japan National Laboratory Association (JNLA), ISO 17025 and ISO 9001. We provide testing and inspection services in a wide range of fields, including textiles (yarns, fabrics and finished products), leather, paper, resins such as rubber and plastics, and other industrial materials to Japanese large and small companies, manufacturers, retailers and brands. We also dedicated to research and development to establish testing methods for newly developed performance textiles. Some of our inhouse methods have been adopted by international standards. We also provide restricted substances testing and supporting our clients to maintain their RSL (Restricted Substances List) with our knowledge regarding global chemical regulations.

Our training services: We offer face-to-face trainings and have launched an extensive webinar programme on various topics (Strategy, Higg Index, ZDHC etc.). We are a ZDHC Accredited Training Provider offering webinar training based on the ZDHC Chemical Management System Guidance Manual framework. We provide ZDHC training in English, French and Turkish (for example the webinar training ‘ZDHC Top 10 Issues and Best Practices’). We are an approved Higg FEM as well as SLCP Trainer Body. We know the Higg Index inside out and offer training about all its modules: BRM – Brand and Retail Module, FEM – Facility Environmental Module, FSLM – Facility Social and Labor Module, MSI – Materials Sustainability Index and PM – Product Module. We also develop individual training programmes; for instance, supplier trainings as part of chemical management or Higg FEM improvement programmes.

Additional Services: We are an approved Higg FEM as well as SLCP Verifier Body and offer both on-site and off-site verifications and audits. ‍ ‍We offer customised consulting services, supporting companies with chemical management as part of their sustainability strategy and guide them on making improvements.

TESTEX is an international and independent Swiss testing and certification institute. We focus on testing and certifying textiles and leather products.

TESTEX is a traditional Swiss company. It was established back in 1846 as the ‘Zurich Silk Conditioning Institute’. Today, the company employs more than 400 staff at over 40 locations worldwide.

The TESTEX Group is a founding and member institute of the OEKO-TEX® Association. We are the official OEKO-TEX® representative in Australia, Canada, PR of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland and Taiwan.

PDCA International Ltd. is an independent third-party auditing, certification, verification, and training body. PDCA International is a SAC-approved Higg FEM verifier body and trainer body, SLCP verifier and trainer body, and accredited certification body and trainer body for management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001. Apart from that, PDCA International Ltd. initiated its own sustainability programs like Water Guardianship, Zero Waste to Landfill Certification, Energy Assessment, and ETP Assessment. Along with these, PDCA works with different clothing and footwear retailers, brands, traders, etc. for capacity building and different national and international sustainability projects to be in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ritex is a specialized laboratory and consulting center serving the textile and apparel industries. With decades of experience in quality control, process optimization, and regulatory compliance, Ritex helps companies improve sustainability and chemical management. As a ZDHC Accredited Training Provider, we offer expert-led courses that empower teams to meet international standards and enhance environmental performance.

As part of the process control in the ZDHC strategic chemical management implementation, SGS provides training services according to the courses outlines by ZDHC Academy

SGS has joined ZDHC as a contributor and has been an Approved Training Provider (ATP) right after the launch of ZDHC Academy, the training platform under ZDHC program.

All of our trainers across our global network are experienced to provide their technical advice during the training. They are equipped with many hours of training experiences on chemical management, capable of delivering key concepts and communicate efficiently with local language.

SGS has also maintained internal communications between different parties supporting various ZDHC services, such as wastewater and MRSL formulation testing. While the information is shared among the parties, our training provided is also ensured with up-to-date details from the other ZDHC services.

UL’s Sustainable Chemistry and Supply Chain Management Services UL has been a contributor to the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme since 2017, supporting a vision of widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry and best practices in the textile, leather and footwear industries to protect consumers, workers and the environment.

Wastewater and sludge analysis in connection with the ZDHC Gateway — Wastewater Module. UL has laboratories in Europe, Africa and Asia that are provisionally accepted by ZDHC for this service. Level 1 certification to ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL) helps demonstrate that chemical formulations used in a product’s manufacture do not contain any restricted ZDHC MRSL banned substances Education on chemical management and wastewater topics. UL presents official ZDHC trainings in live classrooms or via online webinars to fashion and luxury brands and their global supply chains in different languages.
Advisory services to implement good practices, think about corrective and preventive actions that prevent management issues, avoid nonconformity with the MRSL and help reduce risks and accidents in the workplace UL has collaborated with UNIDO and ZDHC under the SwitchMed Program, an initiative funded by the European Union, to promote a circular economy in the Mediterranean by changing the way goods and services are produced and consumed.

Industry manufacturers, international brands operating in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, joined a series of ZDHC official trainings presented by UL to deepen their knowledge about sustainable chemical management, environmental impact, mitigation measures and wastewater quality. After this first phase, we supporter them to implement a chemical management system in their factories.
