PDCA International Ltd. is an independent third-party auditing, certification, verification, and training body. PDCA International is a SAC-approved Higg FEM verifier body and trainer body, SLCP verifier and trainer body, and accredited certification body and trainer body for management systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001. Apart from that, PDCA International Ltd. initiated its own sustainability programs like Water Guardianship, Zero Waste to Landfill Certification, Energy Assessment, and ETP Assessment. Along with these, PDCA works with different clothing and footwear retailers, brands, traders, etc. for capacity building and different national and international sustainability projects to be in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Thanks to Process Factory experience in supporting the ZDHC roadmap implementation through the CHEM 4sustainability® protocol, we have been approved as ZDHC Training Provider and ZDHC InCheck Verifier.

As ZDHC Training Provider, we regularly collaborate with ZDHC for the development of new face-to-face and online courses.

Since 2016, Process Factory has been organising dozens of highly professional sessions at both basic and advanced levels. The international certificate of Chemical Management issued directly by ZDHC on passing the final exam has a validity of two years.

There are five types of sessions that Process Factory is currently organising thanks to its unique experience in the classroom and the field:

The duration and format of each session depends on the way in which it is administered: 4 or 8 hours in a single day for classroom-based sessions, two-and-a-half-hour slots spread over three consecutive days for remote sessions.

Next to the normal training sessions, Process Factory also offers, tailor-made, private sessions for individual organisations. These sessions can be organised face-to-face or as remote training sessions and are reserved exclusively for the organisation’s staff and/or suppliers. These sessions are hosted on the ZDHC Academy platform and can only be accessed by people indicated by the company. The agenda is then defined in close collaboration with Process Factory.

This is an opportunity which not only allows the training to be calibrated to specific goals but also permits the direct involvement of company suppliers, maximising the advantages that only a process shared between the various components of the supply chain can really guarantee.

CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT:

RTX Chemical Sustainability Management Systems® protocol is an operation tool that allows companies in the fashion and apparel sector to guarantee the chemical safety of the manufacturing process and finished product in compliance with REACH regulation and in line with ZDHC goals (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals).

The companies that adopt the protocol can thus certify their commitment and competence in the issues of Chemical Sustainability by communicating with truthfulness and transparency (RTX Certificate) the path taken to achieve the objectives. The RTX Chemical Sustainability Management Systems® protocol is also a recognised tool for the control of the Supply Chain by Brands.

SAFETY AND QUALITY OF THE TEXTILE PRODUCT:

By Your Side® is an integrated service that provides for the adoption of a control plan designed according to the customer’s needs which guarantees chemical safety, performance qualities of the finished products and, at the same time, control over reliability of suppliers.

Furthermore, By Your Side combines continuous updating with communication tools in order to give the right visibility to the commitment and responsibility of the company.

CONSULTING AND TRAINING:

These services are designed to give support and value to each Client’s projects. Ritex researches and develops solutions for product enhancement by taking into account the main requirements of the sector such as regulatory updates, compliance with international market requirements and REACH Regulation, compliance to Brands MRSL and PRSL.

Technical-regulatory updating and training courses are organised for the textile and apparel companies (e.g. courses on REACH regulation, Sustainability in Fashion Industry, textile technology, labelling, foreign markets requirements and much more).

As part of the process control in the ZDHC strategic chemical management implementation, SGS provides training services according to the courses outlines by ZDHC Academy

SGS has joined ZDHC as a contributor and has been an Approved Training Provider (ATP) right after the launch of ZDHC Academy, the training platform under ZDHC program.

All of our trainers across our global network are experienced to provide their technical advice during the training. They are equipped with many hours of training experiences on chemical management, capable of delivering key concepts and communicate efficiently with local language.

SGS has also maintained internal communications between different parties supporting various ZDHC services, such as wastewater and MRSL formulation testing. While the information is shared among the parties, our training provided is also ensured with up-to-date details from the other ZDHC services.

The Group’s employees work across 500 locations in 69 countries with the guiding principle to achieve sustained development of safety and quality in order to meet the challenge arising from the interaction between human, technology and the environment symbolised by the points of our triangular logo.

The group engages with the fashion supply chain to enable their goals of being more sustainable via trainings, testing, assessments, and audits.

UL’s Sustainable Chemistry and Supply Chain Management Services UL has been a contributor to the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme since 2017, supporting a vision of widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry and best practices in the textile, leather and footwear industries to protect consumers, workers and the environment.

UL experts and the global network of high-tech laboratories support textile and leather companies in implementing a chemical management strategy through:

Wastewater and sludge analysis in connection with the ZDHC Gateway — Wastewater Module. UL has laboratories in Europe, Africa and Asia that are provisionally accepted by ZDHC for this service. Level 1 certification to ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL) helps demonstrate that chemical formulations used in a product’s manufacture do not contain any restricted ZDHC MRSL banned substances Education on chemical management and wastewater topics. UL presents official ZDHC trainings in live classrooms or via online webinars to fashion and luxury brands and their global supply chains in different languages.
Advisory services to implement good practices, think about corrective and preventive actions that prevent management issues, avoid nonconformity with the MRSL and help reduce risks and accidents in the workplace UL has collaborated with UNIDO and ZDHC under the SwitchMed Program, an initiative funded by the European Union, to promote a circular economy in the Mediterranean by changing the way goods and services are produced and consumed.

Industry manufacturers, international brands operating in Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, joined a series of ZDHC official trainings presented by UL to deepen their knowledge about sustainable chemical management, environmental impact, mitigation measures and wastewater quality. After this first phase, we supporter them to implement a chemical management system in their factories.
